Your Face

My eyes are looking at every corner,

And at every familiar face to yours,

Hoping that it is you,

Turning across the corner,

Walking into the room,

Coming towards me,

Having a little conversation,

Before you've to leave,

But you never come.

For there are miles between us,

Why is there so much distance,

That separates me and you,

Across state lines,

Making me search for your face everywhere,

Wherever I am.

Throughout it, I discovered a poignant reflection on our constant search for familiarity in the faces and places around us.
