You’ve Been Gone

Seconds, minutes and hours pass by,

In darkness and solitude,

I sing by.

The tunes which my heart remembers,

For you and me,

The mind ponders.

Of how much we know,

And how much we believe,

In each other,

As we continue to breathe.

While the heart sings the tunes so fond,

For every night,

You’ve been gone.
