The Phone Call
This generation of people hate phone calls. I mean, their first thought when a phone rings is, "Who is calling me?" or "Why is someone calling me?"
But, it is not like this always and this is certainly not like this for everyone.
Sometimes, we want the phone to ring and show us their name flashing on the screen and the moment you say hello, you know things will be alright.
Sometimes you want to dial their number yourself and just let it out, whatever it is, however bad it is. Then it doesn't matter how long the call is, or if it makes sense or not, you know things will be alright.
This generation of people hate phone calls but a call says more than a text can. It says more than the emotions in their voice, the way they pause and the way they say it all, the way they stop and the way they distract you from your work with just one call. It makes the conversation more real, reducing the distances from cities, states and countries apart, reducing the misunderstanding with just one call.
So, this generation of people hates phone calls, but not from everyone, and certainly not if you're making the call.
P.S.: Call that someone. NOW.
