Whenever I've found myself,

Waiting for a friend,

I have always found myself there,

As a friend, partner, companion,

As a cheerleader, a critic, a therapist,

As a secret keeper, rant listener, problem solver,

I have always been there for me,

In multiple roles, relentlessly,

I have always been there for me,

Even when no one there,

And I have always been there for me,

Without asking myself to be there for me.

And I will always be there for me,

Even when I'll be in search of a friend apart from me.
