To see the patterns,

And realising they're not good for you,

Is not difficult,

But choosing the right thing to do,

Even when your heart hurts is,

Because despite knowing,

How the end will be,

The heart wants to give it another chance,

Hoping it'll be wrong,

But the mind knows better.

Today was about breaking the pattern,

And the heart giving the pattern another chance,

And the mind having it's guards up.
