Story Of My Life

I sit on the sidelines,

At a distance,

Feeling more like a sidekick,

Than a main character energy,

In my own story.

Maybe this is that part of the story,

When the whole context is set up,

For the audience to see,

What kind of character I really am,

And then it begins,

The story either rom-com, crime thriller, horror,

Or merely a documentary,

That ends with a disclaimer,

"Life is short, don't live like hers"

Or that actually ends with a happy ending,

That no one saw coming,

Specially not me.
