Ruttiest

One day,

You're proud of all the progress you've made,

How creative you've been,

And the next,

All your creative energy goes on a strike,

Leaving you in the middle of projects,

With no motivation to finish,

And despite the fantastic inspiration,

Anything you'll create,

Is not going to satiate your creative hunger.

Upon all of this,

You're overthinking,

About where your vibe went,

And what is making it feel so off,

That in turn brings,

Everything that has ever gone wrong,

And then,

Not being able to be creative that day,

Is a secondary problem,

And your existence in this moment,

Is the primary.

But, hey, look,

Even this is a creation,

Written on the ruttiest days,

Yeah, that might not be a word,

But is now,

In my life,

Ruttiest — the dirtiest, muddiest mood where everything feels shitty.

So, even on the ruttiest days,

You're creating something,

Something for you,

And for someone else too,

Whose feeling ruttiest on some days.
