Rock-Bottom
My pillow soaked wet with tears,
Last night when I slept,
For I’d been searching a way all day long,
And I was drowning faster than I thought.
Morning came with overcast sky,
And overwhelming emotions too,
I wished I hadn’t woken up today,
Maybe then I wouldn’t feel so sad like I do.
Then came a hope that maybe it’s not so bad,
I’m grasping for things to hold on to,
But I’m almost at rock-bottom,
And that’s that.
So, I use the hope like oxygen in the deep sea,
I am yet underwater,
Hitting the deepest rock-bottom,
Can you even see me?
