Out Of Body

I was in one of those moments today, when you're laughing and suddenly it feels like an out-of-body experience. Like, you can see and feel your lips curved upwards while smiling and see yourself laughing in the moment and it feels supremely surreal.

As if you can't really believe this is you. You that is smiling after last night when you cried yourself to sleep. That this is your own voice chuckling. The same voice that was breaking last night to even talk. That this is you struggling to breathe because of laughter. You who couldn't breathe last night because you were crying so much. That this is you. You who can break down on one night and wake up in the morning with an armour. Not to protect yourself from getting hurt but to hide your hurt from the world. How very brave and vulnerable of you.
