Moments After The Sunset

Moments after the sunset,

Is my new favourite time of the day,

The birds are chirping slow,

As they fall asleep,

The wind is hugging every part of me,

And the kids are running all around,

Having the time of their lives.

I see a little girl,

Wearing a cute frock,

Running in the wind,

Arms out,

And I remember myself,

At her age,

Wearing a cute frock,

Running wild in the wind,

Arms out.

I wish I could be that little girl again,

Running without a care in the world,

About the past, present or the future,

At my new favourite time of the day,

Moments after the sunset.
