Living In Denial

I often find myself,

Living in denial,

Of big moments happening,

And me not believing,

That they're real,

Until a few days later,

Reality sinks in,

Or rather crashes all of a sudden at me,

That somewhat acceptance lingers,

And everything changes,

The perspective towards life,

And everything that is happening now,

Yet, the denial never goes,

It stays,

Moments and years later too,

Why, I don't know yet.
