Leave Her Alone

I hope you see it when someone is struggling to do the bare-minimum things,

I hope you see it and not think, why can't she handle the bare-minimum decisions,

Why can't she do the easy tasks, why can't she just pick something, why doesn't she know what to do with her day, while she's with friends, while deciding on a trip, what's so difficult about it,

I wish it was something that's easy to explain,

But it is actually something so simple and complicated,

She can't decide because she's overwhelmed by the consequences,

She has decision fatigue because she's tired of picking what you should wear to your first day of office after weeks,

Or which handbag to take which will include your laptop, chargers, lunch, an extra pair of clothes, a comfortable slippers along with a bedspread that might come into use for a picnic,

Yes, that's exaggerated,

But you get me?

She's tired of suggesting, deciding, thinking of things for others when her life is becoming her personal hell,

And then to live with the consequences of them all,

When things don't go to plan, hear the rants that go on and on and on for days,

Same conversations being repeated and same patterns too,

So, when she tries to draw a boundary,

You bark at her, you slam her, you blame her for her antics and her selfishness,

But you haven't been inside the hell of her mind,

Because her calm demeanor is just a pretense,

But when she says she doesn't know,

She really doesn't know anymore,

Because as much as she helps you out,

She's alone with her pile of problems with no foreseeable end,

So, please leave her alone,

And pray, just pray for her to figure things out for her.
