I'm Scared

Would you believe it,

If I say I'm scared,

I'm scared of all the things that haven't happened yet,

And I'm scared thinking if they'll ever happen,

I'm scared wondering if I'll be able to do it all.

And I'm scared of failing (again)

I was scared when I was five,

Wondering if I could do everything an adult would do at 23,

Then I turned 23 and I was doing it all.

But then I couldn't do it all.

And now I'm scared.

If now, years later,

As I wonder if my future self would be able to do it all when the time is right,

I'm scared,

To fail and pick the pieces again.

I'm just scared.
