Grief Returns
The grief returns,
One random evening,
After a good day,
Bringing all the reasons,
To grieve for.
Like missed chances in life,
Like lovers left in abandoned cities,
Like missed calls and unanswered texts,
Like grandparents and their love,
Like homes and their corners,
Like half written poems and unsent letters,
Like something which once was and now isn't.
The grief of today compounded with the grief of all the yesterdays.
The grief returns,
Again and again.
