Futile Attempts

It's not like I have been hiding,

But it's certain that I've been avoiding,

Everything.

So, here am I,

In my futile attempts,

To exist a little more than I usually do,

Stepping out,

Making myself visible,

Going out,

Wanting to be accepted,

And maybe appreciated too,

For the person I am,

And giving me the space,

To become the person I want to be.
