Forgetting Finally
Grief complicates itself every day,
If love is the easiest feeling to feel,
Then grief, the last emotion of love is the most difficult one,
With no timelines,
No rules,
No warnings,
It hits one,
Punch after punch,
With the reminiscing memories,
That don't feel like nostalgia,
Until it stops to hurt anymore,
Because it's been hurting for so long,
So, when finally it fades away,
As life goes on,
And it hurts lesser on some days,
And more on others,
You, one day, realize,
That you're forgetting them finally,
The happiness of that statement,
And then,
You're forgetting them,
The sadness of the reality,
That you, in fact,
Are leaving them and a part of you behind,
Grief hits you again,
And this time,
In a new way.
