Defeated

On some days,

It is really too hard to say,

All the words that I want to,

Which is why they remain unsaid,

Defeated in the bottom of my heart.

I wonder if it is ever easy,

To say them out loud,

And not worry about the consequences,

But, rather, be understood,

Appreciated and loved,

Unconditionally,

Unapologetically,

Undefeated in my heart.
