If peeling oranges for someone,

Is a representation of the fact,

That you really care about someone,

Then making dosas and chutney,

Is my way of saying that I care,

And I am willing,

To burn my fingers off the steam,

To make the crispy edged, soft-centred dosai,

With pastel green coloured creamy coconut and coriander chutney,

As you sit on the dining table,

And eat it while talking about life,

And I'll be there to serve you,

And listen,

While you fill your heart and stomach,

With conversations and food.
