At An Arm's Length

I gasped,

When the introspection,

Led to a revelation,

Like it does almost always,

And this time,

It made me stop and stare in silence,

With no words to say anymore,

While the brain processed everything that it realized,

A moment ago.

"what if, the reason this person is in your path,

is because it wants to teach you,

that, sometimes, somethings,

can be just at an arm's length,

but you won't be able to touch it,

until it's the right time,

or until you're meant for each other,

and if the universe doesn't think it's worth the hassle,

you won't be together,

despite being at an arm's length.

come what may,

do whatever you want to,

if it's not supposed to be,

it won't be."
