As Someone New

It feels good,

To see yourself heal,

To let the wounds dry,

And to rise up,

After falling down for a long time.

Today, I saw a glimpse of myself,

As someone new,

In many ways I don't know her,

But I know she has a familiar heartbeat,

Yet I'm trying to find out,

More about the person she now is.
